Pumpkin Love

This year we decided to plant a garden, but got a late start. We didn’t even plant anything until early July. However, several weeks earlier Alex found the pumpkin seeds and “planted” them herself in the corner of the garden. We didn’t think that they would make it, especially after Ryan had tilled the garden in preparation for our seed planting. While the garden we planted was a big disappointment, to our surprise Ally’s pumpkins flourished. They, by far, outgrew anything else in the garden.

Last night we helped her pick two of her pumpkins. Now all she wants to do is carve them – she asks several times a day if she can carve them and if it’s Halloween yet.

she looks so proud of her pumpkins. I would be too. My pumpkins I started way back in April and they are smaller than my hand and green... They are supposed to be enormous. late bloomers. I'm super jealous that you got such fun pumpkins. share the wealth!
