Little Miss Model

Today Alex wanted to go to a friends house and “get wet” as she put it. I told her to put on her swim suit and to come outside so that I could spray her down with sunscreen. She came out, got her sunscreen on and then asked me to take her picture. What a crack up - she kept pulling all kinds of different poses. Here are the two best.

What a Big Boy

Last night I took the front of the crib off to see how Connor would do. Well, to my surprise he did great. Before I went to bed I checked on him only to find him about three feet away from his bed fast asleep on the floor. I put him back in is bed and didn’t hear from him until 7:30 in the morning (thankfully we didn’t hear a thud or him crying from falling out of bed).

I was a little worried about nap time, but after about ten minutes of crying I heard him at the door so I went in and laid him back down. I just checked in on him and he is fast asleep. It looks like we will be getting him a real big boy bed sooner than I thought

Ross Park

I took the kids to Ross Park yesterday and they had so much fun. Ross Park is a swimming pool / water park in Pocatello that’s specially designed for young kids. Alex loved it so much she even started crying when I told her we had to go home. This year Connor was able to play by himself in the water and he loved it. He would even try to get total strangers to take his hand and walk into the water with him if I wouldn’t.

I didn’t get a lot of great pics of the kids. There is one of Alex where she is running to me to tell me she has to go to the bathroom. Hopefully I’ll get some better ones next time and hopefully next time is sooner then later. I just wish it wasn’t 45 minutes away.

Happy Anniversary

I am posting this a few days early because I will be out of town for the next week and am not sure how soon I will be able to post anything.
June 15,2002 Ryan and I were married in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. It was one of the best days ever.
The first time Ryan and I met was Feb. 2000; nothing came of that first meeting because he found out I was only 18. Six months later we meet again, this time I was 19 and he felt a little better about dating me. Ryan is six years older then I am, which is why he had such reservations about dating someone my age.
We dated for almost two years before we were married. I think it was the best decision ever to wait and date as long as we did.
We now have two beautiful kids with one on the way. I have been so lucky and blessed to have known this man for the past 8 years and can’t wait for many more years to come.
I love you babe and happy anniversary.

Summer Hair Cuts

Alex and Connor both got their hair cut yesterday. Connor’s wasn’t that big of a change, but Ally’s was. When I showed the hair stillest how short I wanted it Alex said “no shorter mom” so we went shorter. It’s really cute. The before and after pictures aren’t the greatest and I only got an after pic of Connor, but it’s a cute one.

A Broken Pipe

Well Friday was and interesting day for us. Ryan and I were planning on going out on a date, but that all changed when I waked down stairs and find our basement had flooded do to a broken pipe. There’s really not much more to say, the past three day we have had fans draying everything out and our basement in a disaster area with toy, furniture and anything and everything off the ground and scattered.

To make things even harder Ryan left for a work trip yesterday. He was invited to go deep sea fishing in Alaska with the president and a few other employees. Something he could pass up. Luckily it’s only until Tue. night and then for him it’s back to reality.

That’s about all for now I’ll keep posting on our basement progress. I’m hoping it’s quick and painless, but from our last experience I’m not very optimistic.
