"A baby is God's opinion that life should go on."

Yesterday we had our ultrasound to find out what we are having and we are happy to say it is a healthy baby boy.

We took Alex with us so that she could see for herself. When we first told Alex we were pregnant she said it was a girl then she changed her mind to a boy for quite a while, then just the other day she was back to wanting a little sister. Well hopefully some day she will get that little sister that she wants, but for now she is happy with two little brothers.

Now we get to look forward to more definite plans and pick a name. We had a hard time deciding on Connor’s name and now we are a little conflicted with choosing another boy name. For some reason we have a tougher time with the boy names. I guess it’s a good thing we still have four more months. We both have a few names that we like, but have not yet settled on anything.

I’m also happy to say that my brother and his wife also find out what they are having and it’s a little girl. One boy and one girl with in 4 weeks of each other will join our family.

First bike
Alex got her first big girl bike today. We felt that it was about time for her to learn how to ride a bike and well we got a really good deal on it.
She was so excited that she called her dad about 10 time today asking if he would come home and put it together for her. How could he say no to his little girl.
Thanks Daddy!

Last Day of School
Today was Alex’s last day of school. I don’t think she really understands it’s over for a few months – but as you can see from the pictures, her emotions were both of sadness and happiness.

She had a good last day - they had a little party and when I went to pick her up she gave both of her teacher’s hugs and almost knocked over Miss April who is 8 months pregnant. The teachers have gotten use to Alex running at then and giving them hugs every day, but I think April was a surprised when she turned around and Alex was running full steam at her.

Thanks to all the great teachers out there

Outside Love

Yesterday Ryan was out mowing the lawn and the kids were so happy to be helping him and playing outside. I’m really hoping the weather continues to be warm. I love being outside with the kids and watching them play - now that Connor is older, this summer is going to be so much fun. He is a true boy! He loves being outside and loves to play in the dirt.

Mothers day weekend

I know it’s been a long time since my last post but nothing has really been going on. Last weekend we did go down to Utah for mother’s day. It was good to see the family. Here is a fun picture of Ally helping grandpa mow the lawn.
