Melaleuca Picnic

This year I missed the picnic because I was down in Utah, but Ryan stayed behind so he could take Alex. From what Ryan and Alex told me they had a lot of fun. They have everything a little kid could dream of - Free cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, inflatable slides, pony rides and more.

This year Ryan and Alex were even able to go on a helicopter ride thanks to a co-worker and friend that invited them. I wish I could have been there. Good thing they have it every year.

3D/4D ultrasound

Over the weekend, while I was down in Utah, I decided to get a 3D/4D ultrasound of the baby. The first ultrasound that we got at 20 weeks was not very good and they only gave us one picture. Anyway here are some of the pictures that we were able to get. Unfortunately they weren’t the best because the baby was facing my back, but you can still see his face and for the position that he was in I think they did a pretty good job.

Thanks to my sister in-law Karen for coming with me. Ryan was up in Idaho this weekend with Alex at his work picnic so with out her it would have been just me. Thanks again Karen for coming it was fun having you there.

Diaper Cake

Well today I’m off to Utah with Connor. I have been helping plan a baby shower for my sister in-law. It’s been a lot of work and it little harder to plan living so far away.

I decided to make a diaper cake for one of her gifts. It was pretty fun and it only took me about 45 minutes to make. I think it turned out really cute.

Swimming Lessons

Alex just finished her first ever swimming lessons yesterday. She went for two weeks and loved everyday. I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted, but she got a card from her teacher saying that she was able to move on to the next level and that she is “very motivated and that is hard to find in most children.” I thought that was a nice way to saying she has a lot of energy. Remember when....

I have know seen this on two of my friends blogs and it has been a lot of fun remembering the past. This post also goes out to all you silent readers. I will admit that I have been a silent reader at times, but I want to hear from all of you.

Just write a memory you have with me or our family. If you leave one, we'll assume you're playing and we'll come leave one on your blog too... Happy remembering!

4th of July

Well, we headed back down to Utah again and had a pretty relaxing and fun holiday weekend. The 4th was the laziest day of our trip. We sat around at my parents and didn’t even leave the house until late afternoon when we took the kids to Cabela’s. Alex had so much fun seeing all the stuffed animals and loved the huge fish tank! After we went back to my parents had dinner, put Connor to bed and took Alex out to watch a few fireworks, but we were a little too far a way for her to really enjoy them so we left early and lit off a few of our own - which she enjoyed a lot more anyway.

Saturday was a really fun day when we got together with Ryan's family. It’s always fun spending time with his family, but this time was even more fun because there was so much going on. One of Ryan’s older brothers and his family were in town so there we more cousins than usual there and there was a bunch of stuff going on in his brother’s neighborhood too. All the cousins had so much fun playing and just being together.

His youngest sister, Karen announced she was pregnant and there was even a really good fireworks show that a neighbor put on. It was so good that the fire marshal and police even showed up (the neighbor put on a 20+ minute show with a huge collection of illegal fireworks).

It really was a ton of fun and we love when Alex gets a chance to see and play with all of her cousins - she never gets enough of being with them.

What a great weekend to be with family and celebrate our freedom. I hope every one had a great 4th as well.
